Remember the day you said?

"No one's here, no one's watching."

I almost believed you that day.

Today, as I am here again,

Here again after so long,

I see us right here, at this window,

Right here where you hugged me for the first time.

I hear you breathe heavily again,

As if we never left this place.

I see us right here talking our hearts out,

Laughing, comforting each other,

Pushing ourselves back to our happy place.

I see you kissing my tears,

Searching love in my eyes,

I see you resting your head on my lap,

Asking me to caress your hair.

I see myself in your arms,

Waiting to tell me that you love me.

It's all here, all of it, everything, right here.

You were wrong, sweetheart,

These walls were looking at us,

This air breathed into us,

This place was here witnessing you and me,

This entire aura captured us,

It captured us and saved us for almost a lifetime.

You were wrong when you said no one's watching.

We are still here, smiling, laughing, hugging out the fears,

And you know what honey?

We shall always be here.
